Author:system

Overseas Korean nationals holding foreign citizenship with an F-4 visa and possessing a domestic residence registration certificate have a mandatory obligation to report any change in their address.

This requirement applies regardless of whether the address change is within the 'same city/county/district' or 'within the same apartment complex,' because the address listed on the residence registration certificate (residence card) will be different.

If you move to a neighboring building and get a new unit number (lot number), this is legally considered a new residence relocation.

Reporting Obligation

You must report within 15 days from the date of residence relocation.

Reporting Agency

The city/county/district (township/town/village administrative welfare center) overseeing the new residence or local immigration and foreigner affairs office (branch office).

Required Documents

Domestic Residence Relocation Report Form (available on-site), Domestic Residence Registration Certificate (residence card), Original proof of residence document (e.g., lease agreement for the new home, accommodation provision confirmation, etc.).

In summary, even if it's just to the neighboring building, if the apartment building (wing) and unit number change, you must report it.
