○ Recently, cases have been confirmed where some administrative agents and travel agencies as well as foreign individuals use others' personal information (alien registration number, passport number, etc.) to unfairly hoard visit reservations.
○ This hinders fair handling of civil complaints and constitutes a clear illegal act of unauthorized use of personal information. Currently, some reservation hoarding cases are under investigation, and we plan to respond strictly to similar cases in the future.
○ In relation to this, if illegally hoarded reservations are not voluntarily canceled by November 30, we plan to analyze reservation information (IP, log records, etc.) and refer it to investigative authorities.
○ If unfair reservations are confirmed, the relevant reservations will be forcibly canceled, and illegal reservation makers may be subject to imprisonment for up to 5 years or a fine of up to 50 million won in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act and the Criminal Act (crime of forging and exercising private documents, etc.).
○ To ensure that innocent complainants do not suffer damage due to unfair reservations, all users are requested to cooperate in maintaining fair reservation order.
