Due to the concentration of foreign ethnic Koreans in the construction industry and illegal employment issues, starting from May 2009, visiting employment ethnic Koreans must go through certain procedures to obtain a Construction Industry Employment Approval Certificate to get employed in the construction sector. From December 2009, it is a system that prohibits employment in the construction industry without the Construction Industry Employment Approval Certificate.
