Compensation paid in lieu of wages to protect the livelihood of injured workers and their families during periods when they are unable to work due to injury or illness. It is paid at 70% of the average wage per day of unemployment. The recuperation period must be 4 days or more, so for minor injuries with a treatment period of less than 4 days, the employer must pay an amount equivalent to the wages during the unemployment period. Submit the work suspension compensation claim form, confirmed by a medical institution, to the local branch office of the Korea Workers' Compensation & Welfare Service.
