If the employer does not provide a dismissal notice 30 days in advance, they must pay the equivalent of 30 days' ordinary wages and can dismiss the employee immediately. The wages paid in this case are called dismissal allowance. However, in cases where business continuation is impossible due to natural disasters, extraordinary events, or other unavoidable reasons, or if the employee intentionally causes significant disruption to the business or inflicts property damage, the employer may immediately dismiss the employee without dismissal allowance upon obtaining approval from the Minister of Employment and Labor.
