Author:system
A period artificially set to determine eligibility for unemployment benefits. It is divided into monthly units retroactively from the day before the separation date, and each divided month where the number of days forming the basis for wage payment is 15 days or more is counted as 1 unit. This unit period must cover 12 months or more within the 18 months prior to separation to qualify for unemployment benefits (Employment Insurance Act, Article 32).
