To correct this defect, revision of the average wage is permitted in certain cases. It is a system where if the regular wage of similar workers working at the same workplace increases or decreases by 5% or more, the average wage is also adjusted by the same rate to pay insurance benefits. For the revision of average wage, the injured worker or beneficiary submits the average wage increase/decrease application form with the wage ledger of similar workers of the same type that can verify the wage change to the local branch of the Korea Workers' Compensation & Welfare Service.
