The minimum wage amount (referring to the amount set as the minimum wage; the same shall apply hereinafter) is determined on an hourly, daily, weekly, or monthly basis. In this case, when determining the minimum wage amount on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis, it must also be indicated on an hourly basis. For workers under 18 years of age whose employment period has not exceeded 6 months, the minimum wage amount may be set at an amount different from the minimum wage amount under paragraph 1 in accordance with the standards prescribed by Presidential Decree. In cases where wages are ordinarily set in the form of piece-rate or other similar forms, and it is deemed inappropriate to determine the minimum wage amount under paragraph 1, the minimum wage amount may be set separately in accordance with the standards prescribed by Presidential Decree.
