What is Vocational Rehabilitation Benefit?

The types of vocational rehabilitation benefits include ▶ costs for vocational training and vocational training allowances provided to those who have received disability benefits or those who are clearly eligible to receive disability benefits, as prescribed by Presidential Decree (hereinafter referred to as 'disability benefit recipients'), among whom vocational training is necessary for employment (hereinafter referred to as 'training subjects'). ▶ workplace return support funds, workplace adaptation training costs, and rehabilitation exercise costs, respectively paid to disability benefit recipients who have returned to the business at the time of the occurrence of a work-related accident, when the employer maintains employment or conducts workplace adaptation training or rehabilitation exercises. However, the above training subjects and disability benefit recipients are determined by Presidential Decree taking into account the degree of disability, age, etc. (Article 72 of the Industrial Accident Compensation Insurance Act).
