During the 12-month benefit period, due to pregnancy, childbirth, childcare, the person's own illness or injury, or illness or injury of the spouse or direct lineal ascendants requiring the person's care, if a worker who cannot get a job for 30 days or more continuously reports to the employment security agency, a period corresponding to it is added to the 12-month benefit period, and the total benefit period is up to a maximum of 4 years.
•Reporting Procedure: Within 30 days from the date the extension reason occurs (within 7 days from the date the reason ends in unavoidable cases such as natural disasters), attach the benefit qualification certificate and submit the 'Benefit Period Extension Report' by the person or agent to the head of the employment security agency in charge of the place of residence.
