Established in 1919, it is a specialized agency of the United Nations aimed at promoting social welfare and improving working conditions. It is composed of government representatives, employer representatives, and worker representatives from each country, and it provides recommendations on labor legislation, regulations on working hours, wages, and worker safety and health, and also strives to follow its own guidance. Its headquarters is located in Geneva, Switzerland, and our country formally joined in 1993.
