What is Employment Succession?

An employer may attempt to transfer their owned business to another party as needed or achieve the business objective of profit-seeking through forms such as corporate merger or division, resulting in cases where the business operator changes. In such cases, it refers to the labor relationship previously formed between the former employer and the employee being transferred intact to the new employer despite the change in the business operator. When employment succession occurs, the content of the labor relationship remains unchanged regardless of the change in employer, and it does not involve forming a new labor relationship with the business transferee, merged company, etc.
