There is a misconception that when issuing an E7 visa, there must be at least 5 Korean employees working in the company. There are many. Proof of domestic employment refers to people who have been registered in the employment insurance subscriber list for more than 3 months and meet the minimum wage. Even for newly established companies, in principle, applications must be made after 3 months from the date of business registration for industries where the ratio of domestic employees is applied.
However, if there is a recommendation from the competent ministry (KOTRA, Korea International Trade Association), additional employment is allowed within the range of 50% of the total national workers in the high-tech industry, and within the range of 70% for blue-chip export companies targeting special language regions. 5. Small-scale foreign-invested companies or venture companies in the early stages of business are allowed even if they have no sales for 5 years
