ā Recently, cases have been confirmed where some administrative agents and travel agencies as well as foreign individuals are unfairly preempting visit reservations using others' personal information (such as alien registration numbers, passport numbers, etc.).
ā This hinders fair civil complaint processing and is a clear illegal act of unauthorized use of personal information. Currently, some reservation preemption cases are under investigation, and we plan to strictly respond to similar cases in the future as well.
ā In relation to this, if illegal preemption reservations are not voluntarily canceled by November 30, we plan to analyze reservation information (IP, log records, etc.) and refer it to investigative authorities.
ā If unfair reservations are confirmed, the relevant reservations will be forcibly canceled, and illegal reservers may be subject to imprisonment of up to 5 years or a fine of up to 50 million won in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act and the Criminal Act (crime of forging and exercising private electronic records, etc.).
ā In order to prevent good civil complainants from suffering damage due to unfair reservations, all users are requested to cooperate in maintaining a fair reservation order.
