01 Mandatory Auto Insurance Required

Auto insurance enrollment is not optional but mandatory.

• In Korea, driving a vehicle without liability insurance (mandatory insurance) is illegal.

02 No Driving Without a License

Do not drive without a Korean driver's license or a valid international driver's license.

• Riding motorcycles (two-wheeled vehicles) and electric kickboards without a license is also punishable as unlicensed driving.

03 Prohibition of Illegal Vehicle Rental and Name Lending

Do not lend your car to others or purchase a vehicle under someone else's name.

• All legal liabilities and crimes (hit-and-run, criminal misuse, etc.) arising from lending your name will be the responsibility of the name holder themselves.
